"What Meeting Planners Look for
When Hiring a Speaker"
Have you ever wondered why you didn’t get hired for a speaking engagement you thought you had in the bag?
Do you know speakers who consistently get hired or shortlisted for engagements you believe you are perfect for, yet YOUR phone is not ringing?
Have you ever wondered EXACTLY what meeting planners are looking for in the 21st Century?
If you answered yes to any of these questions you don’t want to miss our expert panel discussion. If you answered no…you might be in some denial.
Come learn from a panel of top meeting planners and speakers bureaus as they share exactly what they look for when reviewing a stack of one-sheets or proposals. What is the most important thing they are looking for in a demo reel? Is content more important than style – or the other way around?
These questions and more will be answered, so come learn from the people who actually make the decisions on who to hire so you can be best prepared when you submit a proposal for your next engagement.
Panelists will be:
- Brittany Kruetzer from Speaker Exchange
- Lori McCombs, executive director for SHRM Missouri, Kansas and Illinois
- Rene Street, president of ABWA
- Diana Midyett, meeting planner
- Raymond LaPietra, owner of Career Images
